I am incredibly proud to welcome you to Nore Academy which is part of Alternative Learning Trust.

We are the first SEND Free School Academy for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs on the Isle of Sheppey.

We provide an innovative, ambitious but also highly supportive and nurturing educational experience for secondary aged pupils with a primary need of Social and Emotional difficulties as well as for pupils with other additional needs such as Autism and communication difficulties.

At Nore Academy, we believe that education is far more than academic success—it’s about developing resilience, self-confidence and team-work skills. In providing a holistic curriculum, we aim to provide our students with the skills and ambition to prepare them for their future lives, be that within work, further study, personal relationships, as well as setting aspirational life goals.

As well as supporting learning and personal development in the classroom, we also offer a range of outdoor learning opportunities both locally on the island but also further afield.  

We take great pride in celebrating diversity, cultivating creativity, and encouraging ambition in all that we do. Together with our students, families, and the wider community, we strive to create an inclusive culture where everyone is empowered to succeed and excel.

As a brand-new school at the beginning of its journey, I am honoured to lead Nore Academy. I look forward to working with you all as we continue to develop a vibrant, supportive, and inspiring school that prepares our young people for their journey ahead.
