Outside Programmes
At Nore Academy, we believe and seek out specialised programmes as they play a crucial role in supporting and developing students in specific areas, helping them grow into well-rounded individuals. These programmes are designed to target key aspects of personal development, such as social skills, emotional intelligence, and resilience, providing tailored support to meet each student’s unique needs.
By focusing on these areas, we empower students to build confidence, overcome challenges, and develop the life skills necessary to succeed both academically and personally. Ultimately, these programmes contribute to shaping students who are not only capable learners but also responsible, self-assured individuals ready to thrive in the wider world.
Challenger Troop.
We are currently forging partnerships with Challenger Troop to bring this valuable opportunity to our students.
Through their unique programmes, which are endorsed by the Department for Education, Challenger Troop supports each participant in reaching their academic potential. They achieve this by developing personal, learning, and employability skills that help students become confident individuals, effective contributors in class, successful learners, and responsible citizens.
Challenger Troop’s programmes are both challenging and inspiring, designed to foster resilience, respect, courage, loyalty, and integrity. They promote self-discipline, boost confidence and aspirations, and create a sense of pride, self-worth, and personal fulfilment in every student.
Willow Bank Education
We are currently forging partnerships with Willow Bank Education to bring this valuable opportunity to our students.
Willowbank Education is an initiative that uses the natural environment to enrich the lives of children and young people. Their unique programs blend outdoor learning with expert guidance and nurturing support. Led by qualified Forest School leaders and Angling Coaches, students engage in a variety of activities tailored to their individual needs in a personalised, supportive environment. They foster growth and development for each student who access their programmes. Key activities include fire management, culinary skills, woodland arts, handicrafts, outdoor exploration, and ecological learning, all designed to inspire curiosity, build self-confidence, and encourage hands-on learning.
Duke of Edinburgh
We are actively developing a programme to offer The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, providing students with an exciting opportunity for personal growth and achievement.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is an invaluable programme that provides students with the opportunity to develop essential life skills, build resilience, and gain confidence. Through its challenges, students engage in physical activities, skill-building, volunteering, and an adventurous journey, all of which contribute to their personal growth.
The DofE not only enhances their sense of responsibility, teamwork, and leadership, but also equips them with qualities that are highly valued by employers and universities. Participating in the DofE helps students become well-rounded individuals, ready to tackle challenges and succeed in all areas of life.
Enrichment
At Nore Academy, we believe that enrichment is a vital part of a student's education, offering opportunities to explore new interests, develop skills, and enhance personal development. Enrichment activities allow students to step outside the classroom, build confidence, and engage in experiences they may not have had before. To support this, our enrichment time will take place every Friday afternoon, where students can take part in a variety of activities, from sports and creative arts to outdoor learning and team-building challenges. This time is designed to broaden horizons, foster teamwork, and help students discover new passions while contributing to their overall development as well-rounded individuals.
