Curriculum

Academic Curriculum

Our academic curriculum offer is based around core subjects of Maths, English, Science and PSHE. We also deliver humanities through project-based learning, and we also have a strong PE and outdoor learning offer with excellent sports hall and MUGA facilities as well as an on-site forest school area.

As our school grows and our staff team increases we will expand our offer to include creative subjects, construction and hair and beauty.

All pupils undergo baseline assessments and from there an individualised educational programme is devised. All pupils will access a core subject pathway which will lead to either GCSEs or Functional Skills accreditations.

In addition, all pupils will have access to personal development opportunities through our concept curriculum and outdoor learning offer. We will also provide a range of specialist interventions to meet pupils' specific SEND needs.

The Concept Curriculum

The 'Concept Curriculum' is a strategy we have devised for delivering a range of personal development priorities, such as resilience, perseverance, self-confidence, team-work etc to run through our whole curriculum offer. Each concept will be explicitly taught and embedded in all learning opportunities.
